Lieutenant General Robert Mood (57) has won the The Freedom of Expression Foundation Prize in 2016 for showing great courage of expression  in critical debates about the Armed Forces’ role in society.
The prize is NOK 400,000 and is the Foundation’s highest honor. The price also includes the Freedom of Expression statuette crafted by Nils Aas.
“Robert Moods many and debate-provoking contributions are particularly important because we live in a time when opportunities for expression for employees in several parts of the public sector is under considerable pressure. Furthermore, we see that the media and the public in many cases have difficulty  in getting access to information, “according to a press release.
