The major film studios of Hollywood are looking into Pulpit Rock, Trolltunga, Folgefonna and Lofoten as possible locations for new blockbusters.

In an interview with Aftenposten,  line manufacturers Tor Arne Øvrebø and Per-Henry Borch talk about high demand from international studios that want to shoot in Norway.

– The makers of an upcoming blockbuster movie from the Disney-owned Lucasfilm wants to use Pulpit Rock or another, Pulpit Rock-like place, as a powerful location for the final scenes of the movie. In June and July we made a round of visits with these folks, mainly in western Norway,  Borch said.

Based on the information that the newspaper has been given, it thinks that the movie in question is probably a new movie in  the Star Wars series.
The two line manufacturers also told Aftenposten that Marvel Studios, which has produced films like the Avengers films, has been on an inspection in Norway for planning possible scenes for one of their upcoming productions.

Borch mentions that the foreign companies have expressed interest in filming at spectacular places like Pulpit Rock, Trolltunga and Folgefonna glacier at Odda, and several places in Lofoten.

Earlier this year, Hollywood productions’ The Snowman “with Michael Fassbender and” Downsizing “with Matt Damon visited Norway and used places like Oslo, Rjukan, Bergen and Trollfjord in Lofoten to film scenes for those movies.
