On  Friday Parliamentary President olemic thommessen presented the new outdoor stage at Oscarshall Bygdøy to the press. The scene is a gift for the royal couple’s 25th anniversary.

– The gift is in keeping with the original purpose of Oscarshall: To support the Norwegian art and culture, and to make the site accessible to people. We now hope that the stage will be widely used in the future,  parliamentary president Olemic Thommessen said.

Established the stage and  upgrading the so-called Kavaler residence at Oscarshall  for the royal couple’s 25th anniversary on Tuesday 7 June have cost 2 million kroner in total.

The summer palace Oscarshall in Bygdøy in Oslo opened in 1852. Oscarshall has been owned by the state since 1863 and is managed by the Royal Family.
