Michelin starred restaurant ‘Maaemo’ took the victory when food-prizes for 2016 were handed out.
The food-prizes for 2016 were held in Oslo on Thursday. The organizers had received over 100 nominations for the six award categories.
The winner, Maaemo, with Esben Holmboe Bang as its head, became in 2016 the first Nordic restaurant with three stars in the Michelin Guide.
Other prizes were also received. Journalist Kari Gåsvatn took ‘Årets formidler’ for inspiring people to eat healthier food, and Tine got the ‘Utfordrerprisen’ for good ecological provisions in the school milk scheme.
‘Sjøforsvaret/MarCSS Forpleining Produksjonskjøkken’ (Navy/MarCSS Board Production Kitchens) got ‘Årets kjøkken’ (The Kitchen of the Year), Sund Folk received the ‘Debioprisen’ (Debio Prize) and Bergsmyrene gård (Bergsmyrene farm) received the ‘Bonden og kokken’ (The Farmer and Chef) award.
