Crown Princess Mette-Marit read a paper she herself wrote as a student when she visited Fiskå School in Kristiansand on Wednesday.

The school visit was part of the Crown Princess program as she travels south with the Literature tour these days.

The first stop of the trip was at the crown princess Mette-Marit’s hometown, where she visited Fiskå School. Waiting here was a barbecue, music and other activities before the crown princess sat down for a discussion with author and writing teacher Tiril Broch Aakre.

In connection with the 9th grade students having a writing course, the Crown Princess contributed with reading one of her own Nynorsk style papers she wrote when she was a 9th grade student, herself.

This year’s literature tour goes to Stavanger and has a number of stops along the way, including Kristiansand, Marnardal and Mandal on the first day. The program includes meetings with kindergarten children and students at different schools.

In Marnardal, the crown princess will also meet author Dag Solstad and Alf van der Hagen for private meetings.
