The 85 meter high Mjøstårnet in Brumunddal is awarded gold in the New York Design Awards 2018.

The building, which can also be named as the tallest wooden house in the world, was praised by the jury as an exemplary project.

“This is a big surprise, and above all a great honor. It is amazing that Mjøstårnet gets such an international award and that we have been recognised far beyond Norway’s borders, ” says the chief builder Arthur Buchardt.

Mjøstårnet, which is built with glue and solid wood, shall consist of shops, apartments and a hotel. The building is scheduled for completion in March 2019.
