The children’s television series about Peppa Pig and her little mischievous family has gained a competitor, based on Islamic values ??and beliefs. The project will have broad support among Muslim leaders.

“Barakah Hills» is being marketed as a halal cartoon for children of kindergarten age and an alternative to Peppa Pig, according to BBC. Now, the National Council for Australian imams (ANIC) urges parents to provide financial support for the production of the animated series, which should give Muslims an alternative to the highly popular series about the family who loves to roll in the mud.

Peppa Pig is shown in 180 countries worldwide.
Manufacturer Subhi Alshaik, from the production company One4Kids in Sydney, says Peppa Pig clearly contains messages that influence children to behave like brats.

“Barakah Hills” on the other hand is about a Muslim family in a Muslim neighborhood and discusses topics such as prayer, Ramadan, Arabic language and stories of prophets in Islam.

The children’s TV series Peppa Pig has been a goldmine for the Canadian film and television company Entertainment One, which owns the rights. Earlier this year owners declined a bid of £ 1 billion, 10.6 billion kroner, from the British television network ITV.
