Producers behind the next James Bond film want to make use of Norwegian support schemes and will conduct filming in Norway.

On Tuesday it was known that eleven applicants had signed up for the fight for recording support. This was done through the incentive scheme for films that provide 25% reimbursement of expenses for international film recordings in Norway.

Of the eleven applicants, there was one project just named as “B25”. Bergens Tidende newspaper first mentioned that it was the next film about the British spy,

James Bond, dubbed “Bond 25”, with Daniel Craig in the lead. According to the film site, IMDB, the film will premiere in February 2020.

“I can confirm that we have been in contact with representatives of the upcoming James Bond movie and that they want to record in Norway” said Adrian Mitchell, film commissioner in Oslo to Dagsavisen newspaper.

According to Mitchell, producers see the film in various locations across the country where it may be appropriate to record scenes for the upcoming film.

“We have been working on this for a long time. There are realistic opportunities for parts of the next James Bond movie to be shot in Norway” he said.

Last year, Tom Cruise performed scenes in Mission Impossible 6 at the Preikestolen in Rogaland after receiving a framework of NOK 6 million of support from the incentive scheme.

“If Bond comes, it will be incredibly exciting for Norway” said Sigmund Elias Holm of the Vestnorsk film commission.
