The well-known Islamist Ubaydullah Hussain served as a sort of agent for foreign fighters in Norway, writes Åsne Seierstad in her new book “Two sisters”.

In September, Hussain, a former spokesman for the Islamist group Prophet’s Ummah, was charged for terrorist recruitment.

According to the indictment, he has assisted five named individuals, in addition to having recruited at least two converts.

“At times Ubaydullah operated as a travel agent. People who wanted to travel, first called, then they met in a place where no one could eavesdrop on them. It could be a parking lot, a gas station, or a roadside rest stop.”

The source indicated the boys went from beginning to seem interested to becoming holy convinced Islamists. The source was critical of whether the youngsters really knew what they were being drawn into, writes Seierstad, according to NRK news.

PST (Politiets sikkerhetstjeneste) confirm that the assertion of operating as a travel agency will be an issue during the impending trial.

Ubaydullah Hussain’s lawyer, John Christian Elden, claims that his clients “do not share Seierstad’s perception, but would not comment on her book.”

The Norwegian authorities must abandon their naivety and be serious with terrorists. They have become the laughingstock of Islamic terrorists because they do not have a system that can tackle the terrorists. If you do not have special laws concerning the security of the people and the state, any Islamist terrorist will exploit this democratic atmosphere and do whatever he likes. Then, if at all he is caught he will have a lawyer and the lawyer will say my client is innocent bla bla and the worst he gets is two or three years in a first prison comparative to a four star hotel. I advise the Norwegian justice system to implement a special clause in the law that deals specifically with terrorists. Period!! Otherwise, this peaceful land will be the playground of brutal extremists.
