After a new math test there is another 33 people eligible to start teacher training.

This summer applicants had acheived level three in math, by offering to take preparatory courses to qualify for teacher training, there is now a requirement of level four.

formal errors were detected  in the implementation of the first sample after this preliminary course, and now they completed a new test.

89 people took the requirement test in this new sample, of these  roughly one-third passed. The 33 can either enroll in teacher training immediately or postpone their studies until next fall, informed the Ministry of Education.

– Those who have not passed the preliminary course, have not failed in mathematics. They just have not been able to raise the level from a three to a four.

It can be a demanding leap. I hope that they will not give up their ambition to become teachers. They might try to improve their math grades and apply again next year, says Minister Torbjørn Røe Isaksen

When the first sample was completed in August, there were 485 who took the sample and 124 which suceeded.
