While half of the NHO companies think they are going to hire people with expertise relating to crafts the next five years, one in four says that they expect to hire someone with a masters degree.

These figures are revealed in NHO expertise barometer, based on a survey of the organization’s more than 20,000 member companies. 26 percent of companies responded to the survey, writes Adresseavisen.
– We need to be very clear about the future need for skilled workers to come, it will not lessen. Quite the contrary. And parents  also have to take responsibility for motivating their young hopefuls to get a trade certificate,  regional director Merethe Storødegård NHO Trøndelag said.
– Someone has to build the country as well, so it is no wonder that the demand for people with a trade certificate is so great.
The survey shows the percentage of member companies that are on the lookout for people with certain skills and knowledge, but brings no information on how many people with a certificate – or master –  the companies are looking for.
