Several students said they were asked to undress for a job interview at the bartender selection process for BUFF at BI in Oslo. The Student Association rejects the allegations.

Student newspaper Universitas writes that several students have told them that they were asked to undress for a job interview in order to be included in the BUFF selection. One of them, a student who wishes to remain anonymous, says he was asked to simulate oral sex.

– They also asked me to strip off my clothes whilst I danced seductively, he said.

– They said I could say no, but they stressed that they wanted me to do it. They had many applicants and would not employ boring people.

Director Helena Moller-Nordbye in BUFF , rejects the allegations as rumors that the union does not want to be associated with.

– The allegations of nudity and simulating sex is not true. We have one serious interview and one a little less serious interview. In the second interview, the interview participants have the opportunity to show whether they are best qualified to work as a bartender or DJ.

This has been established practice for several years, she writes in an email to the student newspaper.
The administration at BI has requested an explanation from the student union on the matter.
