University of Oslo is ranked the 62nd university in the world

University of Oslo (UiO) was ranked last year, as the 62nd university in the world, at this year’s Shanghai rankings is revealed.

 

The renowned university ranking Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai Ranking) is a list of the world’s best research universities and is created by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

This year, like last year, UiO gets 62th place on the ranking. Of the European universities, UiO climbs three places from last year’s 22th place to a 19th place in the year’s ranking.

NTNU in Trondheim is the second best Norwegian university in the list and is among the 101-150 bests. Then the University of Bergen comes in a space between 201 and 300.

In the Nordic region, the University of Copenhagen is doing the best with a 29th place followed by Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm as 44th place and the University of Helsinki as 57.

At the top of the world’s leading universities, the US universities are Harvard and Stanford, followed by the British University of Cambridge, thus ranked as Europe’s best university.
