In all 64 municipalities in the Southwest region, 400 million was given in a measures package from the state. More than half will go Rogaland, NRK news reported.

Disposable grants will go to the maintenance and rehabilitation of roads, construction which is owned by the municipality or municipal enterprises, NRK reported.

A letter informs Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development that the money must be used for projects initiated this year.

Nearly 220 million of the 400 million kroner goes to Rogaland, which is the hardest hit by the strong oil crisis. In the county, Stavanger and Sandnes municipality are the ones that receives the most in crisis support, respectively close to 77 million and 54 million.

Crisis package came with the revised national budget, meant as measures against rising unemployment, especially in southern and western Norway.
Only municipalities with unemployment of more than 3.1 per cent receive a portion of the pot.
