300 employees in Odfjell will get a new employer

Archer

Archer will get more than 300 employees from Odfjell Drilling as a part of an agreement made by the companies of transferring operations from Oddfjell to Archer.

Under the agreement Archer will get around 300 employees on the platforms and an additional resource pool. In addition to this, they will get 20 land-based employees. Archer have also indicated that they are interested in hiring engineers who have been working on the platforms in question,  Geir Frode Nysæter in Safe in Odfjell says to Sysla.no.
Odfjell recently lost drilling contracts for five Statoil platforms to Archer, but the consequences are fortunately not too big for the 300 employees.
– It is good that agreement has been made made  and that they have agreed on the transfer. It  will bring a strong sense of security  to the employees, although of course it is sad to lose good colleagues, Geir Frode Nysæter in Safe Odfjell says. The transfer applies to the platforms Snorre A, Snorre B, Visund, Sleipner A and Njord and is valid from 1. October 2016.
