Coca-Cola Norway reduces the sales department with 34 people from new year.

The cut is due to the fact that Coop and Rema 1000 have cut out so-called external goods promoters, writes Nettavisen. Promotion is based on commodity placement in shop shelves, product demonstrations and shelf rebuilding.

“Our sales force covers the entire Norwegian market. Those who lose their jobs will be taken care of in a good way. It is demanding for those who are affected, but we find that our people understand what is happening,” says Per Hynne, Communications Director of Coca-Cola Norway, for the online newspaper.

Before the demobilization, the sales department of the beverage giant has a total of 253 annual manhours. That means every seventh person in the department must go, according to the website. In total, Coca-Cola Norway has 608 employees.
