Market failures lead to 100 employees in the oil service company Aibel in Stavanger is losing their jobs.
The employees in the oil company got the bad news at an open meeting Monday, writes the local newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad.
Around 100 of the 500 employees in the department for modifications in Stavanger loses his job.
– The downsizing is within modification is a result of the development in the market for this business area, says communications director Bjorg Sandal.
This figure is in addition to more than 700 Aibel employees who have received dismissal recent scant during the last two years. So far, the cuts affected the most in Harstad, Bergen, Stjordal and Stavanger.
