The signals from some of the largest real estate chains suggests that the rise in house prices has continued in May – especially in Oslo.

On Friday Property Norway will present their nationwide property statistics for May. Director Grete W. Meier in Privatebroker, says to the newspaper Dagens Næringsliv that she believes the strong growth in Oslo will continue, while the country as a whole will see a slight rise.
– I think we will see a rise over one percent in Oslo for May, even after the sharp rise in April. The reason is the large discrepancy between supply and demand, says Meier.
She believes prices will rise above ten percent in Oslo in 2016. Also  DNB believes in continued growth.
– Oslo is very extreme in the sense that there is too little housing  and very many buyers. It is the same picture that we saw in late winter and into spring, and now we see that this is reinforcing itself says CEO Terje Halvorsen at DNB Property.
