Customers in Oslo are greeted by diesel to under 10 kroner per liter, and gasoline to just over 11 kroner per liter at Easter. Prices have not been this low in 15-20 years, according to one of the actors.
According to E24 gasoline prices are now more than 1 krone lower than they were at price war of the companies during Christmas 2014.
– It is typical of holidays that the prices fall. We saw it at Christmas, with the long weekend and have seen this Easter that the prices have become much lower, Knut Hansen of Statoil Fuel and Retail says.
– I can’t remember the last time the gasoline was so cheap in the Oslo area. It’s 15-20 years ago since we saw this level of prices for gasoline in Oslo, operation and establishment manager Thron Barring Olsen in Uno X said.
– The prices are extremely low. It’s good for the customers, but we can only hope this will not last too long, he adds.
