Price competition between agencies in Oslo is increasing. The average commission has declined over the last two years, and the Real Estate Association predicts that it may be even cheaper to sell housing in 2016.

Figures from the FSA show that the average commission on the sale of housing in Oslo fell from 1.8 percent in 2013 to 1.5 percent in 2015, according to newspaper Dagens Næringsliv.
CEO Carl O. Greving from Norwegian Real Estate Agents found that there is quite a large amount of pressure on commissions.
– I would not be surprised if the average commission has dropped somewhat in 2016.
It is simply because the number of sales has fallen somewhat in Oslo.
The cross pressure between several brokers and fewer homes helps to push the average commission down.
