Decrease in investments

Seasonally-adjusted figures show that the investments of retail trade industries decreased by 11 per cent in the 4th quarter of 2015 compared to the previous quarter.

The investments in motor vehicles and other means of transport had a significant decrease of 47 per cent compared to the previous quarter, while machines and inventory, and new buildings and renovations decreased by 6 and 16 per cent respectively.

The long-term trend shows that the investments are on a descending path following a high in the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Compared to the 4th quarter of 2014, the investments of retail trade industries increased by 2 per cent. The investments for motor vehicles and other means of transport had a significant decrease, while machines and inventory, and new buildings and renovation had a minor increase.
