New rules will make it easier to get support for the upgrading of the residence. If you have upgraded to the current energy standard during the last 18 months, then you may receive a support of NOK 100.000 from Enova.

According to the Technical Magazine, several upgrade projects that are viable for  most people may get support  ,according to the new rules launched at the Enova conference in Trondheim on Wednesday. Enova was established by the MPE in 2001 to contribute to the restructuring of energy consumption and production.

One of the big news from the conference is that you only need to  upgrade to current energy standard to receive NOK 100,000 in support. Those who take a step further and upgrade to low energy level or passive level will receive  125,000 and 150,000 kroner respectively  in grants.

The other change is that Enova grant will include upgrading of the building. Because it will be paid after the measure is implemented, you do not need to apply in advance.

– We maintain that the best solution l in this market will be to encourage extensive upgrades, but we will do what we can to increase the number of upgrades. We have given support to a little under 200 upgrading projects since 2013. We can see that there are still too few who do something about the heat loss when they renovate their homes, says marketing director Audhild Kvam in Enova to the magazine.
