The oil company Det Norske will be  downsizing further and cutting more costs. Around 85 jobs could disappear.
The company had to let 35 employees and 120 contractors go last year. Now management considers doing the same to  85 persons in positions in staff and support, according to a notice to the employees. It is mainly administrative support and hired consultants who are in danger of being downsized in Det Norske, according Sysla News. It was revealed during the presentation in February, that low oil prices resulted in large write-downs and red figures on the bottom line. The situation may continue for a long time and will require streamlining and cost cutting.

The planned cost cuts are in addition to savings of 100 million last year.
