Even more job losses in the rig company ‘Dolphin Drilling’

180 employees in Dolphin Drilling will lose their jobs in the second round of downsizing in the rig company during the next few months.

Losing the mission in Borgland caused Dolphin rig company to launch a cut that affected over 150 employees in June.

As the rig Bideford Dolphin goes off contract with Statoil next year, a further 180 employees will lose work, wrote Offshore.no.

– Because there are no new contracts in sight for the rig, it has now been decided that all offshore employees will be notified of redundancies, the company said in an internal message to their employees that Offshore.no had access too.

As of late as last spring 180 employees in the rig company  lost jobs.
