The first quarter results from Statoil will be published on Wednesday. The big question is not whether there will be a downturn, but how big the downturn will be.
– Expectations for the first quarter is one third of the what Statoil delivered in the fourth quarter of 2015, says equity analyst Christian Yggeseth in Arctic Securities.
Prior to the presentation, Statoil has obtained expectations, earnings and production estimates from 26 equity analysts. A compiled analysis estimates an operating result of $ 710 million, with a net loss of $ 40 million after tax.
