Almost half of the apartments below 60 square meters which were sold in Oslo the first quarter of this year, were bought by people who do not even live in the residence.

– Many residences and dwellings are not put out for sale but instead brought into the rental market. In a situation where prices are increasing, this is perhaps natural.

In recent years owning a residence or dwelling in Oslo has been a good investment ,  Espen Relbo, general manager in Eiendomsverdi, says to Dagens Næringsliv.

44 percent of homes under 60 square meters in Oslo were bought by a person other than the person who lived there in the first quarter, compared with 37 percent in the first quarter of 2015.

A possible source of error is that it often takes time from a dwelling or residence is pursuant transferred until the one who has bough it moves into it, but figures from the tax authorities confirms the development indictated by the previously mentioned figures.
