Despite a decrease in passengers for  domestic flights and reduced traffic in the North Sea due to the oil crisis,  Avinor made good money in the fourth quarter of 2015. Gardermoen experienced passenger growth, but a property sale is the main cause of the economic growth.
Avinor’s revenues were NOK 3.9 billion in fourth quarter 2015 and  NOK 12 billion for the entire year. This is an improvement from 2014, mainly due to reduced operating costs and properties that has been sold.
The profit before taxes for the fourth quarter was NOK 1.4 billion compared to 186 million during the same period in 2014. The profit before taxes for all of 2015 was NOK 2.9 billion compared to 1.9 billion in 2014.
Oslo Gardermoen Airport saw an increase in passenger traffic of 1.8 percent in 2015 while all the other  big Avinor-owned airports experienced a decline in traffic. Sola had a decline of 4.7 percent in the passenger traffic.
