While oil suppliers are struggling, Norwegian suppliers are exporting an increasing amount of renewable technology .

According to Teknisk Ukeblad, Norwegian companies sold  renewable energy products and services for over 11 billion kroner abroad in 2015.

That’s an increase of 3 billion kroner from the year before, according to recent figures from the Export Credits.

The developmental division of the company Scatec Solar  is the largest exporter of renewable technology.

They develop and construct solar power plants that they own and operate. In 2015 they exported 789 million.

If you also include the services provided by Scatec subsidiaries overseas, their total overseas turnover is at almost 1.2 billion kroner.

– Sales were driven by continued strong growth in the construction of new capacity in large-scale solar power plants globally, says Mikkel Tørud, CFO in Scatec Solar, says.

In the past year  two major projects in Honduras and Jordan has been the most important ones for the company.  The companies behind Scatec on the list of the largest renewable suppliers are Siem Offshore and Fred. Olsen Ocean. .
