House prices rose by 0.8 percent in November, adjusted for seasonal variations. House prices are now 11.6 percent higher than a year ago.

– Prices usually fall in November, said director Christian Dreyer Vammervold in Real Estate Norway.

House prices have risen most in Oslo and Asker with an increase of 1.2 and 0.7 percent respectively. Weakest price trend had Hamar Haugesund with a fall of 1.3 and 1.2 percent.

– House prices fell across much of the country in November, which is normal for the month, but growth in Oslo and Akershus confirms the very strong trend the region has had throughout 2016, says Dreyer.

Oslo and Drammen havr had the strongest 12-month growth with an increase of 22 and 15.7 percent.

6,949 homes in Norway were sold in November. So far this year 83,142 homes have been sold, 2.9 percent fewer than in the same period in 2015.

At the end of November there were 10,763 homes for sale, 17 percent fewer than the same time last year.
