iPhone customers to receive refund for battery replacement

Apple will repay money to iPhone users who replace batteries to make phones get faster.

 

After it was revealed that an update from Apple adjusted the performance of phones with old batteries, the company eventually offered customers a new battery for U.S. $29. The switch should take place in Apple-approved stores.

Both weakened performance and what the customers had to pay for the remedy led to criticism.Now, the company will offer $50 in refunds to those who made use of the offer, wrote E24 newspaper in reference to several Apple sites.

The IT company’s Norwegian representatives confirmed that the new offer also applies to Apple-approved stores in this country. According to ‘Macrumors’, telephones will shortly receive an email with more information.
