Lofoten revokes fish burger

Seafood manufacturer Lofoten call back Lofoten fish burger with catfish and garlic because they can cause allergic reactions in people with egg allergies.

The recall concerns Lofoten Fish Burger with catfish and garlic, marked with expiration date 05.12.2016.

The product of this date stamp contains eggs, which are not disclosed on the packaging, and can therefore cause allergic reactions in individuals with egg allergy, according seafood producer.

Consumers who are not allergic to eggs can safely consume the product.
– We are talking about small amounts of eggs, but the eggs are not declared on the package and we must therefore revoke the affected ones, said communications manager in Lofotprodukt, Kristel Pedersen.

Consumers who are allergic to eggs and who bought that fish burger package recommended to throw the package and sending picture of it with current expiration date to [email protected], for reimbursement
