The world’s largest aquaculture company Marine Harvest, produces most of its salmon in the UK. This means the company is left with more money because of the weak pound.

– We get more competitive prices thanks to the rates of both the crown and the pound dropping. For Marine Harvest  brexit is 90 percent positive, Aarskog  saysto E24.
For other companies selling to the UK, Britain’s withdrawal from the EU  is not considered to be such a good thing. Britain is the UK’s fourth largest market with exports of seafood to the value of 5.1 billion in 2015.
– The turmoil in the economy may also lead to negative effects for Norwegian seafood exports. In particular, the Norwegian whitefish will be vulnerable, the chairman of Seafood Norway, Inger Marie Sperre,  writes in a statement.
