Measures package will get more young people in work

The Government commits over 100 million to getting youngsters, social assistance and refugees into activities and employment.

In the state budget it is proposed to create 1,000 new placements, where young people and immigrants from outside the European Economic Area are prioritized.

Among other other things 30 million kroner is earmarked to get young people into work, initially efforts will be directed toward Southern and Western Norway, who are hardest hit by unemployment.

Twice as large funds are to be used for introducing duties for young social recipients.

To get refugees who have sought-after expertise into work faster  there is 13 million granted. In addition, 10 million used in vocational guidance in reception centers.

Specifically, the money should be used for unemployed job seekers and persons with reduced work under 30 years, who after eight weeks of unemployment are not in employment, education or other activities.
