Ministry gives a Russian airlines company extended permission for transporting live king crabs from Norway to South Korea. But the goal is a more permanent civil aviation agreement.

Given that South Korean companies have stopped carrying live king crabs from Norway to South Korea, only Russian companies have been in question. But Norway’s aviation negotiations with Russia has not yet given any good solutions.

To give the industry time to find alternative solutions Transport Minister Ketil Solvik-Olsen (FRP) asked the CAA to give the Russian company permission for such flights for six more months.
– Norwegian seafood is popular in markets worldwide. Meanwhile, both the industry and we work to find a more permanent solution in line with the bilateral aviation agreements with neighboring countries, says the Transport Minister.

Mainly Norwegian and South Korean airlines are allowed to fly between Norway and South Korea.
