NHO’s recent economic barometer indicates that the oil crisis is starting to spread from western and southern Norway to rest of the  country.
– What is new with  the barometer from the first quarter2016 is that indicates that the crisis is starting to spread to virtually all parts of the country. The outlooks of   Oslo and Akershus are now starting to look much more similar to  the negative market outlook that businesses in Western Norway experienced, says NHO President Tore Ulstein to the newspaper VG.
The economy barometer of NHO is based on responses from 2,311 businesses, where business leaders are asked about the market outlook for the next 12 months. 21 percent or more of NHO companies report that they are more negative than positive when considering budgets and orders for the next 12 months.
For the first time the proportion of business leaders in Oslo with negative assesmentes of the market in is not much smaller than what is the case in  Western Norway.
– The main reason why Oslo and Akershus  are now affected is primarily because of the market situation for IT and business services, says Ulstein.
The last two years the barometer has revealed how the crisis in Rogaland has spread to large parts of western and southern Norway.
