For the first time since the system of electricity certificates was introduced in 2012 Norway is building more wind power than Sweden.

Recent figures from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) shows that it is now being developed wind of almost 2.6 terawatt hours (TWh) in Norway and 1.9 TWh in Sweden.
Also in the overall development of renewable energy, which includes bio, solar, wind and water, is Norway now face Sweden.

– We now see that renewable development in Norway is higher than in Sweden, says NVE-director Per Sandrud.

Through the system of green certificates, Norway and Sweden undertook to develop the 28.4 terawatt hours (TWh) of renewable energy by 2021. Although Norway is now closing the gap but still Sweden is far ahead in the overall picture.
