Norwegian to begin domestic flights in Argentina

Norwegian airline will open domestic routes in Argentina as of the end of 2017.

Norwegian Air Shuttle is among several foreign airlines wishing to establish themselves in the South American country. Norwegian will open operations in Buenos Aires and Córdoba, and
possibly Mendoza, reported Reuters news agency.

Norwegian will not disclose which routes they plan, but say that international flights are a possibility.

‘South America is a very interesting market, with little competition and high prices’, said Norwegian’s spokesperson, Alfons Claver.

Norwegian will be Argentina’s first low cost airline. According to the newspaper, La Nación, Norwegian envisions that Argentinian people will fly twice as much in five to ten years.
