The travel card will initially be able to last up to ten years. In the Ruter area, there is now approximately 560,000 travel cards in use, yet every year more than 500,000 new travel cards are distributed.

The figures show that today there is a huge overuse of plastic cards, and to avoid this Ruters and NSB are introducing a payment of 50 kroner per travel card. A new card will cost 50 kroner.

If you already have a travel card, you can continue to use this as before. For new customers, and customers who have lost or destroyed their travel card, the payment will be a one-time fee, provided they take care of travel card and reuse it.
