OBOS prices have increased again

The square meter price of housing related to OBOS in the Oslo area increased by 0.3 per cent from October to November. This happens after two months of price decline.

In November this year, the average square meter price was NOK 60,715. The price is 4.1 per cent higher than in November 2017.

– “The rise in prices this month may seem small, but it’s important to remember that November is historically a month where prices usually fall. Good times for business and low unemployment mean more for house prices than reported interest rate hikes, at least in the short term,” says Daniel Kjørberg Siraj, CEO of OBOS.

For the country as a whole, the average square meter price for used OBOS-associated homes was NOK 53,128 in November. This is 0.1 per cent lower than in October but 3.1 per cent higher than in November 2017.
