Oil Messa in Stavanger makes record with nearly 450 speeches. Everything is about the transition to a new world adapting to climate challenges and environmental issues, and the need for leadership.

– It will be the most important energy conference in Europe this year, says CEO of the Offshore Northern Seas (ONS), Leif Johan Sevland.

This is an oil exhibition, but eventually an international meeting point for the energy industry, held every second year.

– In 2010 we had 80 speeches, now we are approaching 450. In 2012 we set attendance an record with 60,000 visitors and in 2014 was a new record of nearly 92,000, says Sevland.

He doubts that there will be new record number of visitors this year. Right after ONS 2014 started the oil price began to fall, nearly 40,000 jobs have disappeared in the industry.
