40 employees lose their jobs in oil company

The oil company Maersk Oil will cut 40 positions at their departments in Copenhagen, Aberdeen and Stavanger.

The reduction comes as a result of them needing to reduce operating expenses   by 20 percent in 2016 due to the decline in oil prices, according to Sysla.
– This is unfortunately necessary in a tough market,  CEO Jakob Thomasen says.
It is not the first time Maersk Oil  have cut positions in the company. In 2015  1,250 employees in the Danish oil company, including employees in Norway and Qatar,lost their jobs,
