Oil giants lost 5.000 billion in 2015

Several multinational giant companies are operating on the Norwegian shelf, but all of them are affected by the decrease in oil prices. The six biggest lost nearly 5.000 billion in 2015.

This is revealed in Forbes’ annual list of the world’s largest oil companies,  the business newspaper Sysla.no writes.
ExxonMobil alone earned 143 billion dollars less last year than the year before. BP’s operating revenues decreased by 130 billion dollars, while Shell’s revenue was 156 billion dollars less in 2015 than in 2014.
Statoil stated in report of their results in the fourth quarter of 2015 that the adjusted operating income fell from 607 billion in 2014 to 472 billion last year.
