Oil downturn is also reflected in debt collection companies. In oil county Rogaland and Agder counties the payment defaults increased sharply last year.
In Rogaland, the increase was 11.7 percent, while the debt collection company Lindorff analysis for 2015 showed that  things were even worse in Agder, the newspaper Dagsavisen writes. In Aust-Agder, the increase was 15.9 percent, while it was 20.9 percent in Vest-Agder.
The three counties are still below the national average, but Lindorff director Anette Willumsen dislikes the development.
– These are counties that for a long time have had a low number of payment defaults , especially Rogaland, which has seemed to have handled unemployment well. But now we see a fairly sharp increase, which probably comes in the wake of the increasing unemployment, so we will be keeping a close eye on this now.
Hordaland has a lot of oil-related industries, but is growth in payment defaults less pronounced there, at only 7.1 percent.
– We believe the rise in payment defaults is because of a shift, and expect that they will increase here as well,  Willumsen says.
