Pension Feide may provide nursery strike from Tuesday

There will be strikes in 112 private kindergartens in six major cities on Tuesday morning if the parties can not reach an agreement by midnight; mediation is underway.

The key issue is the saving plan in a temporary arrangement for defined contributions to pension plans. The employee organizations Fagforbundet Education Association and Delta requires the rate is increased from 5 to 7 percent, Private Barnehagers Association (PBA) has opposed.

Monday at 10 the parties met for arbitration with the national mediator. The deadline for the agreement expires at midnight. If mediation is not successful 1,321 employees in 112 private kindergartens in Bergen, Trondheim, Oslo, Fredrikstad, Skien and Halden will go on strike Tuesday.

The settlement covers about 15,000 workers and a strike will consequently be used extensively.
