Few police jobs for graduates

Many graduate police students are currently without a job in the police. About 288 of this year’s graduated are vying for 15 police job offers.

In a survey Norwegian Police Federation has completed, a scant 4 percent said they had received a permanent job in the police, writes Police Forum.

Of the graduates totaling 721 people, 605 answered the survey. 23 of these had been in permanent job. Meanwhile, 288 or 47.6 percent, have stated that they have no job in the police today.

Police Forum has gone through how many jobs the graduates can apply, i.e. police officer 1-positions. According to the trade journal there are only 15 jobs available, which are seven fixed positions and eight temporary positions.
