Only 9 percent of businesses that suffered serious cybercrime last year, reported the offense to the police.

According to figures from the dark figures survey, which were presented on Wednesday at the Safety Conference 2016.

Virus attacks and malware cause the worst incidents for Norwegian companies. Also ransom virus and spam is relatively widespread.

Kripos is concerned that so few take the trouble to report the conditions, but Deputy Eiliv Ofigsbø admits that systems are not particularly well organized.

– It is not so easy to report. One must go to their local police, and where one encounters perhaps a constable in an anteroom that do not know much on Cybercrime, he said.
