Rygge airport to close down

The board of Rygge airport has decided that the airport will be closed down after November 1st  this year if the anticipated volume from Ryan air is confirmed.

– The Board sees no likelihood for civilian air traffic after 1st November 2016, and it has been decided that the traffic will be wound down if the anticipated volume from Ryan Air is confirmed. Ryan Air’s schedule is expected to be announced in the next week, according to a press release from the company.
The board meeting has just ended after several hours on Tuesday.
– The board of Rygge airport AS has today discussed the impact of the air passenger duty. The Board has concluded that the traffic will be running as normal until November 1st, according to the press release
