Sales of duty-free liquor at Avinor airports fell by 220,000 liters last year. The decline is three times as large as that of Vinmonopolet.

This is revealed in the 2015 results for Travel Retail Norway (TRN), which accounts for most of the duty-free purchases at Norwegian airports.  The sales decline, which was at 10.3 per cent for liquor, represents more than 490,000 bottles, and is the sharpest decline TRN have registered on any kinds of products for many years.
– We have seen this trend for many years, and it is related to changes in Norwegians’ overall consumption showing greater sales of wine and less of liquor. It’s the same way all across Europe,  CEO Håkon Fjeld-Hansen of TRN says to Aftenposten.
