Over 1,000 businesses violate the Working Environment Act, according to the LO summer patrol. There is an increase of ten percent compared with last year.

The LO summer patrol has so far found that 1,011 of the 3,194 companies violate the Working Environment Act. This equates to 31 percent and it is an increase of ten percent from last year, according to P4 News.

Head of the summer patrol, Paul Henriksen Spjelkavik, explains that part of the increase is that they are also focusing on the safety representatives.

– If an employee has not informed whether there is a safety representative there or who it is, if there is no safety representative on site or if the employer has set themselves to be the safety delegate, then we look at it as an offense, he said.

The most common errors among businesses is lack of employment contract. There remains one week of the summer patrol.
