Enova is handing out 140 million to 22 shore projects from the south to the north. In Bergen, people are celebrating hohealthier city air when Hurtigruten in the future will bring electricity from the mainland.

– This is a great day for us. That we have put in place the financing of the facility for Hurtigruten, is positive.

It is a good contribution to urban air in Bergen. Hurtigruten is built from five and a half to eight hours a day, so it’s a major step forward to get clean electricity, says acting director Ulrik Jørgensen of Bergen Port Authority told the newspaper BergensAvisen.

40 applied for electricity power
Enova received 40 eligible applications, but only 22 of them received support.
Hurtigruteterminalen Bergen obtained 6,7 million, 20 million goes to the Mongstad base, while the Port is supported by 9 million to shore project for ferries on Vippetangen.
– This is good news. Now we can start working on finding the best solution for the future Utstikker 2 on Vippetangen, says Port Chairman Roger Schjerva.
